Innovation Prize Styria – our members Virtual Vehicle and University of Graz are among the winners!

Almost 100 Styrian companies and institutions took their chance to apply for the Innovation Prize Styria with their projects. A jury of experts selected the six winners. Our BioNanoNet members University of Graz and Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH are among the winners. Congratulations!

 

The University of Graz was among the winners with the project “PureSurf – creating surfactants for a sustainable future” in the category “sustainability”.

Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH was among the winners with the project “SYMUL8 – A Simulation Platform for the Analysis of Future Traffic Rules for Automated Driving” in the category “digitization”.

➡️ The Symul8 simulation platform was developed with the aim of creating a tool for adapting traffic regulations for automated driving that considers the different levels of automated and non-automated vehicles in mixed traffic.

The research project was coordinated by the Institute of Highway Engineering and Transport Planning at Graz University of Technology, and involved also our BioNanoNet member Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT),
