WSE 2026 conference

The 22nd WSE 2026 Conference will take place in Riga, organized by the Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry together with Riga Technical University.

WSE conferences are held annually with the goal of:

• Supporting the professional development of early-career researchers
• Encouraging collaboration between research groups
• Advancing innovation in wood science and engineering

The event brings together researchers, academics, and industry professionals working across topics such as wood materials, processing technologies, sustainability, and bio-based innovations.

A training school for students and early-career researchers will be held on 14 September, in collaboration with Latvian State Forest Research Institute Silava.

Deadline for short abstract submission: June 10, 2026
