Dear colleagues and friends,
We are delighted to share with you the latest edition of the BNN QUARTERLY, bringing together inspiring stories, groundbreaking research, and the latest developments from across the BioNanoNet community.
Our focus topic, “Women at the Forefront of Science & Innovation,” celebrates the outstanding women whose research, leadership, and dedication are shaping the future of science and technology. In this special issue, we are proud to introduce BioNanoNet Voices – Stories Behind the Science, an interviewseries that goes beyond scientific achievements to explore the personal journeys behind successful research careers. Through open and honest conversations, researchers from across the BioNanoNet network reflect on the milestones, challenges, motivations, and ambitions that have shaped their paths, offering inspiration to the next generation of scientists.
This edition also highlights inspiring initiatives that promote women in science, including contributions from Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), JOANNEUM RESEARCH, Johannes Kepler University Linz, University of Graz, and the European projects NABIHEAL, PLANETS, and SSbD4CheM. Together, these stories demonstrate the importance of diversity, collaboration, and inclusive research environments in driving scientific excellence and innovation.
This issue also features contributions from many of our valued BioNanoNet members, including TU Graz, JOANNEUM RESEARCH, Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Traumatology, OCSiAl, Research Center Pharmaceutical Engineering (RCPE), University of Graz, and many others. Their insights showcase the breadth of expertise within our network and the impact of interdisciplinary collaboration across Europe.
Alongside our focus topic, you will also find the latest news and updates about BNN activities and our funded projects, as well as upcoming events and opportunities to connect with the community.
We invite you to explore this issue, get inspired, and share these stories within your networks.
