Innovation rarely follows a straight path. New knowledge, changing requirements, emerging technologies and lessons learned along the way continuously influence how ideas develop and eventually reach application.

With our focus topic “Resilient Realities: Adaptive Learning and Innovation in the Advanced Materials Ecosystem,” this issue looks at how the advanced materials community is responding to this dynamic environment – from material development and manufacturing to industrial scale-up, circularity and Safe and Sustainable by Design.
